Queen of Aces Slots

How many slot games can you think of that take to the air for some sky-based entertainment? And how many of those take you into the past to do it? That's what you have in store if you check out the Queen of Aces slot game, reviewed by our experts below. There are a few surprises in store in this game, so let's settle in and see whether we can find out what they are.

Who is the developer?

It seems we have Genii to thank for coming up with the creative idea for this slot game.

Do we have a demo to look forward to?

We do, yes, and this is the perfect way to discover how everything works and to see that theme up close for the first time.

So… what is that theme anyway?

We really are up in the clouds for a wartime theme, as we see fighter planes in the sky and medical bags with parachutes on them to see them safely to the ground. Spitfires and airships can also appear across the reels.

Created with a stunning design

The design isn't cartoonish as that wouldn't suit the wartime theme. It does, however, have lots of detail and it provides you with something quite unusual to look at. It does stay in the mind, that's for sure.

Let's lay out the basics of this slot game

There are two wilds here, each one looking like an airwoman with goggles on, clearly in the cockpit of a plane. They can appear on reels two and four, each expanding to fill the reel if one should appear. They'll both replace everything else the game offers, with the usual exception of the scatter. One last perk - the wilds come with 3x multipliers. The scatter features some wings and the wording Feature Queen of Aces. Be careful as there is another standard scatter involved as well, offering an aerial view of some Spitfires. This is a basic scatter icon and does not launch any bonus features.

There are fewer paylines active in this one

While some games from this developer have lots of paylines to contend with, this one keeps the number lower at 15 lines.

Placing some bets to play the Queen of Aces slot

You can choose from coins as cheap as a penny or as big as 50 cents each. You can also go for one to five of those coins on each line.

Check out the Queen of Aces paytable before you play

This is good to do especially as there is some generous bonus potential in this game.

There is no second screen bonus here

Don't worry, though, we have plenty more to tell you yet.

There are three versions of the free spins round

If you get three or more of the feature scatters anywhere in the same spin, you'll receive one out of the three possible free game features.

The first of these is called Formation Free Spins. You get nine spins here, with the expanded wild symbols locked across the second and fourth reels for all of those spins. Finding another three extra spin icons in view means you get another three spins to play. All wild wins are given a 3x multiplier.

Next up, there is the chance that you might get the Dogfight Free Spins, which certainly sound dramatic. Here, the expanding wilds can land on reels one and five. If the wilds land on any other reels in the middle of the game screen, they won't expand. Again, three more feature scatters trigger three more spins, and you get the same 3x multiplier for wild prizes.

Finally, there are some Air Raid Free Spins that might be awarded instead of the other two possibilities. This time you get the most spins - 15 in this case. None of the wilds expand when they appear, but you'll get as many as nine wilds on every spin of the reels. One thing you can count on is the usual 3x wild multiplier.

Finally, watch for the wild bomb that could turn up during the free games - any of them. This appears at random, turning a symbol into a wild for the current spin. It won't appear in the base game but if it does help you with a prize, you'll get that wild 3x multiplier once more.

Our rating for Queen of Aces

This is an impressive slot that really packs a lot in. It seems the free spin variations turn up at random, rather than bringing you a choice whenever they appear. With an unusual design and plenty of details along the way, this must surely be worth awarding a 9/10 score.

What is the winning potential like in Queen of Aces?

You can net up to 19,200 coins playing the game, with actual prizes depending on which coin value you use while playing the slot.

Play the demo to begin with for a better idea of what's to come
